Tenement Trail 2025 – Preview

Words: Kaitlyn Smith

Now in its twelfth year, Tenement trial returns as the cornerstone of Glasgow’s music calendar. Since its launch in 2013, the all-day, multi-venue festival has built its reputation as the place to discover fresh new talent before they blow up. Previously Tenement trial has welcomed the likes of Lewis Capaldi, Sam Fender, Yungblud, The Big Moon and Sea Girls all before they went on to arenas and main festival stages. That is what makes this festival so special, with one ticket you have the opportunity to potentially see the next breakout act before anyone knows their name!

Tickets for this year’s edition, which takes place on Saturday the 11th of October 2025 are now available from “TicketWeb” at £47.55 including fees. Your ticket gets you a pass and unlocks entry to every participating venue across Glasgow’s East End. Participating venues include Barrowland Ballroom, Saint Lukes, BAaD, Van Winkle, 226 Gallowgate and lots more! Doors open at 1pm and the music runs deep into the night, boasting 12 hours of live music. This year’s line-up continues the trail’s tradition of blending established names with fresh discoveries with headliners Pale Waves bringing their gothy pop hooks to the Barrowland stage in what promises to be one of the festival’s most electric headliner sets yet. Local heroes Gallus are also on the line-up, set to deliver one of their trademarked chaotic, performances.

Elsewhere, keep your eyes on Chloe Slater, Do Nothing, and Dead Pony, whose ferocious live energy has been drawing serious attention. Rising names like THEO BLEAK, Soapbox, Art d’Ecco, Adult DVD, Fright Years and The Rooks flesh out the bill, offering an eclectic mix of indie and alternative rock. With more than 50 artists performing across the Trail, you’re guaranteed to stumble across a new favourite at some point in the day.

And then there’s the infamous midnight McChuills slot. Each year, this intimate after-hours show becomes a hot-ticket and the chance to catch a band on the cusp of something bigger, crammed into one of the city’s most atmospheric pubs. If history is anything to go by, this will be one of those “I was there” moments. What makes Tenement Trail stand out is its atmosphere. The East End transforms into a buzzing playground, with fans spilling from one venue to the next, bars and food pop-ups along the route to keep everyone fuelled and the official partner “Tennent’s Lager” ensures the pints flow.

So, whether you’re plotting your schedule with military precision or just drifting between stages, Tenement Trail 2025 promises 12 hours of pure live-music immersion in Glasgow’s East End. Get your ticket, lace up your trainers, and prepare to discover the future of music one venue at a time.
