The Tempilstiks released “Over and Over” on the 17th of October 2025, and I had the pleasure of giving it a listen right away.
“Over and Over” grabs your attention by creating suspense at the start, including a build-up that rises and falls in a way that feels alive. By doing this, it keeps you on your toes as it moves toward the main section. When it hits, the energy lands perfectly with punchy chords and confident vocals that make it impossible to ignore.
The instrumentation is tight and deliberate. Hard-hitting chords give the song the foundation, while the beat drives everything forward without ever feeling forced. Lyrically, the song carries a strong emotional punch. Lyrics such as “we’re going round in circles” and “stuck on repeat” mirror the tension and urgency in the theme itself.

For me, there is a sense of space in the arrangement that lets each element shine, for example, the rhythm section. This helps make the track feel both full and crisp. The song is catchy without being grating. Going forward, it could be interesting for them to explore a slightly different section to add variety.
“Over and Over” strikes a nice balance between intensity and accessibility, showing that the band knows how to craft a song that’s both memorable and fun to listen to. Overall, it’s a strong, high-energy track that deserves recognition and proves The Tempilstiks are a band worth paying attention to.
