Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour stopped in San Diego, California on Tuesday July 21st, 2026. This show took place at Petco Park and made history. He was the first artist to sell out the stadium without a band or any accompanists. All of his music is looped live through foot petals in which he creates his songs on the spot for the concert.

The night kicked off early with three openers; Aaron Rowe, Sigrid, and Myles Smith. They all sang their top hits and got the crowd cheering, excited for Ed Sheeran to come on next. He kicked off the night at his B stage in the middle of the audience on the floor. Fans rushed to the stage with joy ready to sing along.

Ed Sheeran sang numerous hits such as “Bad Habits”, “Azizam”, and “Photograph”. His music is fully live as he incorporates a loop machine to make the backing sounds on the spot. Whatever instrument he plays or background vocals he puts into the loop will repeat behind him as he sings the main lyrics.

He then brought out special guest Alex Warren to sing “Ordinary” together. Alex Warren’s hometown is San Diego, so it was a special treat for the audience.

Additionally, The Loop Tour featured a bridge that would connect and disconnect from the main stage to the B stage. This allowed Ed Sheeran to connect with more fans. He thanked his fans for coming out on a Tuesday night and mentioned how he understands the effort it takes to buy tickets, parking, and plan a night out to see his concert. Ed Sheeran is extremely talented and his music sells out stadiums, yet he remains very humble and relatable. Between electric fireworks, a creative loop machine, and incredible voice he puts on an amazing show! Ed Sheeran is an artist you don’t want to miss live, he elevates his music!
